Welcome to ScottScoop Tennis!

I’m Jeffrey Scott, and I’ve been dedicated to running the ScottScoop tennis program for several decades. I currently run the program at the prestigious Armonk Tennis Club year-round. I also offer programs at other locations in Westchester, weather permitting.

My philosophy is simple: I aim to offer tennis enthusiasts and athletes a blend of enjoyable, creative, recreational, and competitive programming at the highest level. I’m all about helping you improve rapidly because the better you play, the more you’ll enjoy the game!

While I have a wealth of experience in playing national-level tournaments and coaching USTA teams to over 50 divisional titles, my current focus is on making adult tennis fun and developing players to reach their highest potential.

Throughout the years, I’ve been fortunate to attract a diverse group of competitive players and athletes to my program, spanning all skill levels from novice to advanced. So, regardless of where you are in your tennis journey, you’ll find a welcoming home here.

One remarkable aspect of our community is that all our players are not only nice people but also competitive and driven to improve. I encourage the exploration of new aspects of your game because being versatile and multi-dimensional will improve your success.

The training sessions are a great blend of fun and intensity, incorporating repetitions, techniques, strategy, fast-paced drills and games carefully crafted to accelerate your progress to the next level.

I welcome you to come and play at ScottScoop Tennis where my goal is to provide you with the best tennis playing experience anywhere.

Best regards,

Jeffrey Scott Coach and Program Director

How can I help your game

01.

Technique

Develop “killer” ground strokes and confident volleys. I teach students to visualize success. I encourage them to mentally rehearse their shots and strategies, which can help reduce anxiety and build confidence.

02.

Confidance

I offer frequent and specific positive feedback. I encourage and acknowledge efforts, even if they make mistakes. Recognizing  achievements, no matter how small, boosts self-esteem and confidence.

03.

Strategy

I analyze students’ strengths and weaknesses. I help develop deep understanding of court positioning, shot selection, and game style, helping players develop a versatile and adaptive approach to different opponents.

04.

Goal Setting

I set achievable, measurable, and realistic goals. I break these goals down into smaller, manageable steps so that students can track their progress. Successfully achieving these milestones boosts confidence.

05.

Mental Toughness

I encourage students to stay composed under pressure and to focus on the present moment rather than dwelling on past mistakes or worrying about future outcomes.

06.

Overall Fitness

I help design and oversee tailored training programs that encompass strength, endurance, agility, and flexibility. I provide guidance on proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and injury prevention techniques.

07.

Motivation

I set clear, personalized goals, celebrate achievements, offer positive reinforcement, and maintain enthusiasm for the sport.

08.

Tailored Trainig

I adapt my coaching approach to the individual needs of each student. Recognize their strengths and areas for improvement and design training plans that cater to their unique characteristics.
